1. Service Description

Viewer Lens provides AI-based analysis of publicly available comments from supported platforms such as YouTube using official APIs. Users may also connect their own YouTube channel with read-only Google OAuth access to generate channel-level analytics, including audience memory, growth opportunities, content ideas, and video relationship maps. The purpose is to generate aggregated creator insights such as themes, sentiment, questions, content ideas, and next-step recommendations.

2. Platform & API Compliance

Using this service means agreeing to the rules of the underlying platforms.

YouTube API Services

This service uses YouTube API Services. By using this service, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service.

YouTube channel connection

The YouTube channel connection and Channel Analytics flow is currently under verification with the Google team. When available, it uses read-only YouTube OAuth access only after you choose to connect your channel. We use this access to verify the channel, read basic channel and video metadata, list your uploaded videos, and build private channel analytics inside your account.

Viewer Lens does not upload, edit, delete, publish, comment, modify playlists, or change YouTube channel settings on your behalf.

Required disclosure — YouTube API Services

This application uses YouTube API Services. Google's collection and use of data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

You agree that you will:

Use the service only in compliance with applicable platform rules and laws.
Not attempt to bypass API restrictions, rate limits, or safeguards.
Not use automated scripts, bots, or scraping methods on top of this service.

3. Acceptable Use

We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations.

You may not use the service to:

✕Identify, track, or profile individual users based on comment data.
✕Build datasets or databases of individuals without consent.
✕Harass, target, or surveil individuals.
✕Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit raw platform data.
✕Use the service in violation of platform terms or applicable law.

4. Data Usage & Ownership

All third-party content (including comments and usernames) belongs to its original creators and platform.
We act only as a processor of publicly available data.
You retain ownership of your generated analysis results.

Important

Stored comment data is provided for your convenience and analysis only. It must not be used to identify individuals or create user-level profiles.

5. Data Storage & Feature Disclosure

As part of the service:

We may store up to 100 recent comments per analysis, including commenter display names.
This data is stored solely to allow users to revisit and review analysis results.
Data is retained until the user deletes the analysis or account.

Commenter usernames are masked in the app

To protect commenter privacy and comply with platform terms, display names are never shown in full. When rendered in the app, usernames are masked (e.g. @J***) — only the first character is visible.

6. AI Processing Disclaimer

AI-generated outputs are suggestions only. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or reliability.

You are solely responsible for how you use the generated insights. Viewer Lens is an analysis tool — it does not make decisions on your behalf.

7. Third-Party Dependencies

This service depends on third-party platforms (including YouTube and AI providers). We are not responsible for:

✕API changes, restrictions, or outages.
✕Data availability from third-party platforms.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 6 months.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims arising from:

Your misuse of platform data.
Violation of platform terms (including YouTube Terms of Service).
Any unlawful or prohibited use of the service.

10. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
